I'm trying to install the oem depth finder in my new to me 04 PS197 and am using the install in post 7 here as a guide: http://mastercraft.com/teamtalk/showthread.php?t=40061&highlight=depth+finder

Here's a picture of all the stuff I bought:

Problem is I can't figure out anywhere where that big square plug is supposed to go! I don't see anything under the dash. Unless it's hiding up in the bowls of the dash I don't see it. Now my question is what about the port on the far left of the MMDC board:

Also seen here:

My hunch (or hope rather) is that this is the port for a different style transducer connector. Maybe I picked up the wrong depth finder kit? Anybody got any tips?
Thanks for the help!

after looking at This Thread (http://mastercraft.com/teamtalk/showthread.php?t=33053&highlight=mmdc) I'm thinking maybe the connector is actually behind the kick panel? Yay? nay? just seems like it should be right by that MMDC box, or at least that's what logic would say...

Keep looking behind the kick panel; the cable should be marked "depth." I'm pretty sure it does not connect to the MMDC module...hope this helps, mac

Had to bring this thread back up...... I am currently in the same debacle as Lars was. I currently have the transducer mounted, the module screwed into the backboard and the red/black (hot/ground) wires crimped but for some reason I cant find the plug the module is supposed to plug into (assuming for the dash). Am I an idiot and have somehow not seen the correct 6pin?

What I can see is:

Three depth finder labeled wires
1 Red (assumed hot)
1 Black (assumed ground)
1 Blue??

Two Air Sensor wires
1 Black
1 Yellow

Do I just need to keep looking behind the wall??? I did find a 6 pin male white plug that is empty but this does not seem to be the proper plug for the Medallion Module.

Thanks for any help anyone can provide. I do have some low quality pictures but the ones in this thread are about the same.

I am pretty sure it is there and you are just missing it somehow. I am not near my boat right now, but did the same install on a 2004 and had no issues. When I am near the boat in about 2 weeks, I will take a look and try to post a response.
