Need to know what the best prop is for an 84 Stars and Strips with a 265HP -1:1 tranny? The current prop has been worked so many times it has no pull out of the hole. What is the best upgrade/performing prop for slalom?

Based on the info you provided, I would agree, the OJ 316 3 Blade (http://www.wakeprops.com/oj-316-propeller.html) is your best option.

What is the brand you have on there now? I too have a 1984 S&S.

The 13 X 13 LC 1" FORCE 4-blade is a good one as well, if you want a machined prop try the 12.5 X 12 LC 1" XMP 4-blade.

This begs the question:
Three-blade XMP or Four-blade? Same pitch and size.
I'm looking to upgrade now, from the original 13x13 OJ prop to a new OJ, to hopefully increase holeshot, smooth out the wake and knock down the roostertail and table a little bit. The research indicates that the 13x11.5 XMP 3-blade is the ticket.
Eric, your thoughts?

My thoughts are, it is up to the individual. Run both the 3 and 4 blades and you can decide which fits your needs best. What works for one may not work for the other. Try before you buy!
