I just joined the forums this PM as I finally pulled the trigger on a 2008 Mastercraft X-15. I think I will enjoy reading these forums during the work day, based on what I've seen already! It seems like a solid group of boat enthusiasts who like the water just as much as I do!

I plan on keeping my boat on Eagle Mountain Lake in Fort Worth, TX starting tomorrow PM. Anyone else keep a boat out there?

I would love to hear any advice from boaters who have an 08 x-15 on things to watch out for, etc. Although I have been around boats my entire life, this will be my first boat to own. I have attached some picures. Any advice/information would be very appreciative! IE. Things TO do, things NOT to do!

I DID buy an extended warranty (1 year).

The boat has 157 hours (Fresh Water) on it.

Congrats on purchasing a great boat and welcome to the family. This is a great place to learn about all things Mastercraft, and an even better place to spend way too much of your work day. great way to start with a bunch of pics. You must have been taking notes.

I live right in downtown Fort Worth so no where to keep a boat! That's why I decided to keep it safe @ a Marina (Eagle Mountain Marina). Lewisville is nice and I have a feeling I will be out there every so often this summer but I wanted a marina that was close enough to get some PM rides in after work!

nice looking boat! and welcome aboard TT ... I am a ways south down IH35 in the Austin area. Let me know if you are ever heading down this way to the Highland Lakes if you need pointers of places to stay or stay away from

I am actually on Lake Travis quite frequently during the summer! My folks' have a house down there with a Wakesetter so I will be down in that area for every 3-day weekend this summer, as always. Do you ever head over to Lake Travis?

Congrats, nice looking boat. I just bought a new to me X15 also. Only thing I would recommend so far is upgrade to power prop. It helps fuel economy and performance.

Spent time on EM in the mid 80's. How is it now? Heard talk of a wake surf ban?

I have not....until I read something in these threads! I plan on doing some research when I am out there over the next few weeks to figure out exactly what is/isn't legal. Last thing I (or anyone else) wants is to get pulled over....

Thanks for the info on the prop. I will look into that for sure!

not to frequent on Lake Travis ... I grew up in Burnet and on Buchanan, Inks & LBJ, so very familar to all those (not so much on Travis) ... not to mention I can be on any of those trailering in about 45-50 minutes where the closest ramp on Travis in Jonestown is about 35-40 minutes. We usually go to Travis 2 or 3 times each summer, but most often to those higher up on the Highland lakes for any lengthy all day type trips. And Lake Georgetown is only 5-7 minutes from garage to ramp, so we hit that several times a week and some partial day weekend outings.

I see you bought it at Texas MasterCraft.

Good Group of people. That's where my boat came from!
