no kidding... I really wish the ski-doers had designated areas to make asses of themselves!!! Stay out of the areas were people are in the water!!!!!

We used a 2 mil wetsuit. It wouldn't keep you warm in the water but once you were up it was fine.

Oh, and we dock start whenever possible.

Never have dock started... is it a lot harder?

dock starts are way easier on the body than deep-ups

they look difficult but really aren't. The driver should accelerate slowly as the line just becomes taught. Hope off the dock and away you go.

Got in around March as well.

x2 on the dock starts, being dry gives you more motivation to not fall also!

LOL... until I faceplant off the dock! I could see me digging the nose in!

Do you start sitting on the dock, or standing?

First run of the year for me was April 10th. I'm in Wisconsin and we had a warm Sunday. Air Temp was right around 70, water temp was hovering around 40. The ice had just gone off the lake the week before. Without a drysuit, it wouldn't have been worth it.

Standing, but you may want to sit for your first try to get the feel.

We are having an outing this weekend... hopefully I will have lots of pics! The air temp is in the mid 80's here... wonder what that puts the water at?
