Wanting to buy a tower and would like to stay under a thousand dollars. Was wondering if anyone knew if the monster tower MTe for 800 or the aerial ascent for 800 were all right towers for my 87 tristar. Think they will hold up and not fall apart?

I have the MT1, or when I bought it in 2003 it was the only Monster Tower available. It's now 8 years later and its still holding up great! The surface still looks great and I trailer it everywhere at least 45 minutes each way.

I have had kids hanging on it and pulled tubes  with it. My only advice it to make sure you mount it so it looks good. Some mounting positions really make it look stupid.

A few pictures for reference...

Most the people I will be towing on wakeboard will be 6ft 200lbs. Just don't if I should move up to the 1400 dollar towers or not.

You won't have any problems, with either brand, PROPERLY installed. You do want to buy
board/ski racks, for the tower, which would put you in the $1400.00 range.

I have a DIY also, which I installed just to free up deck space, as we are sometime wakeboarders.

Now is not really the time to find good deals on towers since this is when everybody starts buying their stuff for the season. Back in November I got an Aerial Airborne w/ 2 racks, 2 double Polk speakers, speaker wiring and LED NAV light for $1,319 shipped. The Airborne by itself was available for something like $799.

FWIW my tower has only been used 5-6 times so far but it's pretty solid. I did have a guy who weighed at least 260 jumping wake to wake behind it last week and it didn't budge.

Thats interesting!! Looks like someone is trying to prove a point. However, to do it they had to loosen all the bolts to get the tower to do that. I will see if I can create my own video....

I am 6'-3" and CURRENTLY weigh 225. I have weighed as much as 255 and the tower is fine. It has even pulled me and my brother at the same time. Figure that was at least 425 pounds of dead @$$ weight... :D

Gosh, I hope not! I was just really confused with the first video posted on this thread so I had to make one of my own.

Just installed a MT2 on my Maristar 210. Haven't been on the water yet but it seems rock solid. Currently running a 15% off sale.

For sure!! We need pictures. I'm looking for a tower for our MariStar 210 as well. Saving up for the New Dimension but still open to other towers.
