Ok I removed my hard tanks from my 02 xstar and want to put larger bags in.

Question is should i buy a pair of 500lbs bags?

or a pair of 750's?

The pair of 500s is like 199$ and each 750 is 150$

thanks any i appreciate it!

I think the pair for 199 is actually 400lb each. I was thinking about piggy backing those onto my factory tanks in my 04 x-10. If you already have the factory tanks out, I'd probably go with the 750lb bags

do you know what the capacity of the factory hard tanks are?

Depends on what you have up front. I'd think the 400s would be sufficient for wakeboarding but if you want flexibility for surfing the 750s would give you that.

If you wanted to try to utilize close to the full capacity of those 750s for wakeboarding then you will probably need more than stock weight in the bow. The Fly High integrated bow sac might get you there but you might need more than that unless you're ok with putting the sac on top of the seats to get the full 650 lb capacity out of it.

Search on x1/old xstar/X2/prostar 205V wakeboarding setup. I have the same hull (05 X2) run 750's in the back, 500 in the ski locker as the kgb and 300 on top of that in the walkway with 200 lbs of lead in the very front of the boat. When I come back next season from my ACL repair, master plan is to keep that setup, add 100lbs of lead to each locker floor, and add the intergated bow sac below the seats in the bow. ran something like that this summer, the wake was absolutely ridiculous.

Whoa! That's gonna be over 3k. What doesn't kill your knees will only make them stronger, right?

The fly high set of 550lbs for the back lockers is 199.99 the 750 is 149.99. I bought the set of 550lb bags yesterday from my local mastercraft dealer.

I also bout a L shaped 1150 lb wake surf sac, thing throws a ridiculous surf wake on X 30.
