Vortec TBI MX Plus, correct? Not LT-1? Both are great engines. But both are 5.7L Indmar.

Can you post a picture of the engine if you are not sure if its the TBI or LT1?

Based on his ad on DallasBoats4sale.com, it looks like he has the TBI Vortec 5.7L MX Plus motor.

I'm gonna guess the 300hp MX plus like my 98

Thanks Doug, I checked out the link and saw 298hp. I guess it is TBI.

Is there a link or phone number for this boat. I've got friends that might be interested in this boat.

Thanks

I am pretty confident that the engine is not the LT1. Rob - if you want to drop me a pm, I'll respond with my number.

I have seen 308 quoted for the MX Plus for that year. The owner's manual for 98 does say 298 though. Feels like about 308--309 to me in my father in law's 98 205. :)

East Tx:

I wasn't sure about the power so I consulted the owner's manual. I appreciate the additional 10 hp of street cred. I've got a listing now on boattrader:

Hate to see her go...

I owned a 98 205 for several years. The base engine which I had was rated at 308HP. It was a good motor and had plenty of power.

Lots of mid range torque in that TBI motor in 98. Great all around boat for sure. This one looks to be in particularly good shape. I'd bet that it sells quickly.

My father in law has the exact same boat in blue. We have been out on it twice this year. We don't need another. :)
