I believe your TriStar's windshield has a solid center section. If so, the craigslist windshield, with it's hinged center section, won't fit. If not, well, nevermind.

Probably worth checking the measurements. Having the ability to open the windshield on a closed bow boat is a good deal on a hot day.

Yes it is a solid center section and that is the part that is broken. I am thinking a local auto glass person can install a plexiglass replacement.

That windshield is tempting - I have a 190 open bow with foggy side glass and curved sections. I could get by nicely with the side glass replaced, and have bought replacement plexiglass which I had planned on cutting to size.

What I cannot do is get the frame screws out. They won't budge. I'm thinking they must have something similar to locktite on the threads to keep them from backing out.

Any suggestions??

I am thinking a local auto glass person can install a plexiglass replacement.

Look into Lexan. More expensive, but more durable.

When I re-aligned the windshield on my '89 TriStar a year ago I found that the screws that attach the frame to the fiberglass are just big ol' stainless sheetmetal screws. No trick to it, just need the right size screw driver. If worse comes to worse, they can be drilled out.

BTW, pheskin, did you realize that your handle is awfully similar to "foreskin". Just sayin...
