Help with my ignition switch....

My ignition switch/key switch keeps sticking in the start position. The dealer lubed it once, and it helped but now its doing it again. The problem is that if anyone else starts the boat the starter will grind itself into oblivion because they don't know to manually bring it back to "run".


Anyone else have this problem? Permanent/easy fixes?

Mine did the same thing. I removed the rubber seal around it and it works fine, but I would agree with Sporty on this one. I am going to replace mine at the end of the season. It's not that much money and will more than likely fix your problem.

Mine did the same thing also. Best off to replace it. It could go from cranking to much to not at all and leave you stranded.
