That is a nice boat, I have not actually seen one of those yet, interesting layout at the back, seems to give you a couple of nice chill spots.

What is the difference between the X14 and the X14V better wake for a skier?

X14 is a direct drive and the X14V is a V drive. X14 better for skiing but I had to make a comprimise for the family.

That's a sharp looking interior (the exterior isn't to shabby either). Nice boat, hope you get to take her out soon. Enjoy and welcome to the club.

I just noticed the aluminum back insulation in the motor box! That's nice.

Nice rig Blue. Love the color combo--that interior contrasts just right. You'll have to update us on the performance of the Ilmor. I have the MCX in my '10 x14v and am more than a little curious.

Great looking boat! The ilmor should make that thing pop out of the water

04-04-2011, 09:23 PM
Next Monday will be the first drive so I will let all know about the performance

Congrats! Please give us a full rundown in the middle of the summer that your vinyl doesn't get hot. It's not supposed, but if you're in the SE, you'll be able to tell.....

Blue: Awesome boat. I remember early discussions about the black and your family not wanting the Maze and Blue. Good choice! Looks like a classic in the making.

Really nice job. Love the B&W color combo.

Be sure to post your photos on the X14v thread!

X14 is a direct drive and the X14V is a V drive. X14 better for skiing but I had to make a comprimise for the family.

I can't tell if I saw a wake plate on the back or not -- but with that, you may be pleasantly surprised at the ski wake too. Awesome looker by the way. Congrats.

It has the wake plate. I will let everyone know if the new upholstery get hot.

Tough looking boat!!
I like the way the NEW Ilmor engines look and run. The more MCs I drive with Ilmor power plants the more I wish Ilmor had been around in earlier year. Better late than never.

You are going to be very impressed with the handling and power behind your new X-14v!
