View Full Version : Gauges dont work

Anybody have an idea why my gauges ( besides star gazer and voltage ) dont start working immediately after I switch the engine on? 40 min approx. have to pass with the boat running in order for the gauges to start indicating, then if I switch the engine off for more than 30 min the same thing happens again and again. If I switch it off for a shorter period the indicators work properly.

What type of boat do you have then maybe some recommendations may come.

You likely have a bad ground...

Probably, on the engine block...it works once things heat up and expand.

Start there.

Have you checked all of your battery connections? I would start there.......

Almost guarantee it's a ground issue - having the same problem with my 08 X-2.

have you solved the issue?

Had the problem last season...my dealer said battery connections weren't tight enough...easy fix. Just put the batteries back in and tightenend they heck out of them..only the voltage gauge is working.

what about the perfect pass, does that work? Do the gauges ever start working while the boat is running?

When they're dead....they're dead. I have VDIG so I do have redundancy. Perfect pass is incorporated into my VDIG and it does not work.
