Demoed it today. 2009 X15, 48 hours. Everything checked out ok except port ballast pump. Gauge showed ballast full, but it would not pump water out the overflow. Kept shuting off? No idea why, boat was balanced and had a great wake. Can't wait to sign papers tomorrow and get some time behind her! More and better pics when I get her home.

09 or 07? My neighbor has the 07 with same graphic is why I ask. Anyway he loves the boat and needs the pax room due to large family. Surfs it all the time and has had no issues with pumps so far. Great looking boat btw.

Ask about an extended warranty, you can get a wakeboard boat package that will cover all of the ballast pumps, stereo equipment, trailer, etc. Well worth the money.

FPC is the company I've used and they're great.

Beautiful boat! :)

I would think if you are purchasing from a dealer they would correct the Ballast gauge issue. If not, I would assume you could determine if it was the sender or not using a volt meter.

Check on warranty transfers. According to my 2010 owners manual: it must be verified and accomplished within 14 days of sale, done by the dealer and cost is $450. If the prior owner had FPC extended warranty, according to my paper work it can be transferred for $100. I have the BIG (Boat Information Gauge) and I figured I only have to have that break once and I will recover the cost of the extended warranty = a little peace of mind.

I'd do all of this before signing the papers if I could.

Thanks. I love it. It is an 09, but has the older tribal graphic. I plan to take graphic off and go with a chrome or black drip mold logo. Maybe put a red, black, or med blue bullseye. Only other things it needs are heater, shower and a little stereo upgrade. I was about to order a white, black and silver flake X15 or X25 when I saw this one. Saved me a pile of cash and I got a like new boat.

Anyone have ballast recommendations for wakeboard and surf? Anything else I need to know specific to this year and model?

Beautiful boat, you will love it. I have an 08 Maristar 215 (same hull) and have really enjoyed it but wish I would have continued to look until I found an x-15. Congrats on the great purchase.

Dude- that rope is a horrible accident waiting to happen. That kid falls the wrong way and he is in trouble. My 12 year old almost had his wrist torn out of socket, and had a nasty rop burn around his arm and torso. Straight braided rope with big knots is optimal.
