Cold rain -- the 40's -- here in NC in late March. Sheesh. If the weather doesn't break, we'll all be in the George Castanza boat this spring!!

I hesitated several times before I opened this thread. I was relieved that it went the funny direction.:D

I figured you were gonna claim that your wetsuit shrunk over the winter...

My wetsuit shrinks every spring. Then in the fall it fits good. I cant seem to figure it out.

90's would be nice. I am going to settle for 70 and putting the boat in the water and at the slip.

Glad to hear it's supposed to be that warm down there. I'm headed to Dallas this weekend to pick up my new to me X15. Would love to get some time in it. Any idea where to find water temps for area lakes?

might try www.fishingnotes.com/lakeinfo and then search by the name of the specific lake ... just looked up Lake Lewisville (DFW area) with est. water temperature being 60 degrees F.

Lake Texoma (TX) on the TX / OK border is at 59

down in my neck of the woods is Travis at 63, Georgetown at 64, Belton at 63, Buchanan at 62

Great thanks! Demoing boat on Lewisville. 60 there sounds great, still 48 in the panhandle lakes. I may just stay on Lewisville for the weekend.

Depends on where you are going back to I know a lake where the temp is 66 even with the air temp 50.

Is that new snow or just what's left over? I worked late in the fab shop last night and it was snowing at 12:00am, but not enough to stick. Earliest I ever remember skiing was mid April.

I live in Amarillo, but don't have to be back there until Sunday night. Any good spots you can disclose? Thanks

Water temp has been great the last 3 weeks in Central Texas, takes about 20 seconds to get used to and then it feels awesome. You midwest and Northeast guys should start planning a annual last snow fall of the year trip to central texas. there are enough of us around, we could hook up on Lake Austin and have a great party for a couple days.

Please elaborate. Mother nature? The weather here right now sucks!! Freaking 20's at night and mid 30's low 40's during the day... Darn wax for the boat I think says apply above 40 degrees......we are BARELY making that during the day.

I guess I should be thankful that it does get cold here though.....we don't have to worry about amoebas in the water in the summer, no fire ants, no aligators (or gaytors, hi Tricky), no killer bees, and very few poisonous snakes........OK, I feel a little better now.

Now if that sounds great as I listen to the forecast for several more inches of snow Sunday night.

I think the next time I go to buy a used boat I'm looking in your neck of the woods. You have such a limited time to use your boats up there. You can have a "well used" 10 year old boat in Minnesota and it would only have 450 hours on it.

90's? what's that? I went to check on the dock last Friday and it was still stuck in 12" of ice. And the ski areas close next weekend. Looks like my only option for building calluses will be raking the winter scrunge off the lawn. At least my dry suit is still baggy.....
