***Sold***

I have both a fiberglass and teak platform for my XSTAR. Teak was used for one season. I was going to swap last year, however I just like the black on black for my set-up.

In anticipation of swapping I completley re-finished the platform following directions found on here. I think the Star Bright and materials cost me $60 and I did 3 coats.

Net result, platform is perfect, but I just don't need it.

Location: Knoxville, TN

Why the switches from teak to fiberglass? i have had both but thought the teak less prone to damage and rubber pad rot.

Saw a set on ebay last night search mastercraft and narrow search to just boat parts. They were a couple pages back.

For me it's 100% for the look. The pad on my fiberglass howver isn't in the best shape, so know what your talking about. If you oil and take care of teak it's great...just don't get it too slippery for the party cove...they are not walking friendly when slick :O

If you will look on Ebay they have the replacement pad on there for $99 right now.

I'm checking to see if those will work on my X2.

Apparently I'm stupid when it comes to searching...what exactly are you using to find the pad?

Will the brackets work for both the teak and the fiberglass. I have teak and will be changing to fiberglas. In other words can I just unscrew one and put the other on??

Thanks

Yes they will work for both types of platform.

I checked on the ebay ones and they are not for the X2/X15 they are for the 197/209, X30, etc. Little bit different style I guess.
I'm really looking for a used set, maybe someone who damaged the platform or something. New set is $260+ including the transom mounts (which I don't need). I have a 'glass deck that came with the boat and picked up a teak deck that has no brackets and I want to keep both platforms functional.
