I'd be heading for the AC! I don't know how people can live in that heat. I read it was 124 in Death Valley today. UGH!

Our water temp has been 91-92 the last few weeks. Hardly any rain at all. 95-100 deg days with almost same humidity level puts heat index well into the 100's. AC is mandatory.

Our water here does not get quiet that hot. I have the hot tub set on 95!!!!!!!!!!!! Man that is a warm swim for a lake. Ours is a flood control lake and TVA is already drawing it down. Time to start letting the dock out each week or so from now till labor day anyway. Just the price we pay to have fun.

Last night (6:45) at Berryessa. Air temp 106. Lake temp 91. 105-111 the last 7 days and the forecast says another 5 on the way. The only positive is atleast we don't have to deal with all that humidity. :)

There was a slight delta breeze this morning so maybe it will be cooling off some.

Called the marina for a wind report around 6:15 yesterday morning, and it was already 100 degrees (but no wind!). Water temp was 89 when we got out in the basin. I guess it hit 117 in town yesterday, so maybe 120-122 at the lake? I don't know, we were putting 'er back on the trailer at 10 am. But it's a dry heat! :D

When I launched the boat Saturday on Folsom Lake at 5PM the thermometer in my truck said "109". The water temp in the boat read 89.

On Sunday when we launched the boat on Bullards Bar the thermometer read 95 and the water temp in the boat read 86 at the ramp. When we went back into the main inlet the water temp got down to a relaxing 82 degs.

Summer is finally here.

A/C, sunscreen and the lake as much as possible!! The trade-off is that we don't get that, what do you call it, that "ice" stuff on the lake in the winter. ;)

Last summer we couldn't boat due to the heavy rains...I guess I'll take the heat, drought, and water sports!

In regards to the earlier posts...way too hot for me! When does the heat start to melt the plastic in cars or on boats???

That lake is good for two things. Skiing on weekdays at 6AM. And having a good time relaxing and partying up one of the river inlets.

If I see you I'll say "hello". I'm in an '04 X7 with dark blue sides.

I was saying good stuff about being cool here on the west coast, but two hurricanes and a high pressure system over Utah have made it very hot and sticky here too. Should'a kept my mouth shut! We may even get a shower and an electric show.

95 here today, and feels like 150% humidity. Should only get to 100 by saturday.
I think today is the 6 month turn around day from the -20 F degrees below zero we hit last winter. I recall because when we got up in northern Wisc. to go sleddin' the temp gauge in the truck said -27 F but it was actually -35 below zero, I think the gauge in the truck only goes to -27 below zero.
In 6 months we have a 120 degree variation in temps. Cools me off just thinkin about it!! Maybe I'll go for a drive with the windows down.... :)

Ski season is almost here, hockey is back, things cant get better. Just wish it was a little warmer right now.

Yeah, the water is cooling off a bit .. we have season tix to the chiefs, sure hope they are better this year, also hope the mountains get some snow this year. I have never skied that far west, we used to get up to whitewater a fair amount, and Red Mountain once in a while. The local M/C dealer actually has Supra's and Moombas, do you get any parts for your Supra there?

32 degrees ! :eek3:

We might get that low in another 4 or 5 months.

and then it'll be only for a few nights. It'll still warm up to the 50s during the day.

Of course, thats why you can't buy a shack out here for under half a mill...

Isn't 32 degrees farenheit 0 degrees celcius? That's what I've always been told, unless all my science teachers and friends in Europe have been wrong......

For the American's 32 degree Fahrenheit = 0 degree Celsius :D JK

I can't believe that, already! I always have a hard time understanding that cold this early.
