Im trying to get a title for my trailer. I havnt done it because I dont trailer it anywhere but it is time. I bought it in MI and they dont title trailers older than like 87 or so. The BMV is wanting registraition numbers for the trailer but I cant find them anywhere. Anybody know where they are?

If your 84 trailer is like my 82, they are located on a silver tag on the left wide of the trailer about 6 feet back from the tongue. Mine hasn't been readable since about 1990. If your tag is the same and still there, you wont be able to read it.

here is the only thing i can find. It is on the port side of the trailer. There is nothing readable.

I'll be interested to see if you get an answer on this one - because I need the same info.

I have exactly the same issue: the silver decal is not readable, my trailer is not registered  and I cannot find any numbers "stamped" into the frame.

Mine's a 1991 single axle.

You should see the stack of paperwork that the bmv gave me if i cant find numbers........ Ridicules. Police check to verify no numbers, apply for registration numbers, make a plate for numbers, police check to verify numbers, apply for title. Thats after this 10 page document.

In Georgia you can register it as a home made trailer. I don't know if that is a option where you live at.
