OK, I followed everyone suggestions and will be picking up the ND tower for my 2000 -- 205V. With so much outlaid for the tower it left very little for accessories. I do want to get a rack for the hydrofoil. What do y'all think about the Airboom 360 w/ swivel?

I'm sure that everyone will want to go with Samson, SkySki...etc. but out of budget.

Does anyone have the Airboom racks?? Opinions??

Thanks,

Joe

Spend the extra money and get the comptech rack. You'll be glad you did. Occasionally they pop up on the foil forum used for about the same price as the one you showed us. I had a cheaper one. And it wasn't that good.

I would agree with either a comptech or samson. I have the comptech, had it for 4yrs now no issues at all. There is a guy on the foil forum thats makes one very similar to the comptech. He goes by drgreigler (or something like that). I bought a longer strut arm off of him for mine and it is great work. Also get one that swivels. They are a lot of money but your back and boat will be better off.

Why are there two mirrors on that boat?

I have since added an extension that allows me to swivel the hydrofoil in over the top of the windshield. So yes it swivels and it's not that bad. I usually stock up when I go out so everything is full. 2 mirris question, why not? Allows you to see more and I think it just plain looks better.

I have an older air boom that doesn't swivel. I'm a strapping strong lad who wishes he spent the extra money on the swival! Spend the $$$

It's not a why not question. It's just that I've never seen 2 used before is all. :D

I did it because I feel it makes the tower look more symetrical. I wasn't taking any offense. I also have another hydrofoil rack on the other side. I love this boat!!!

I saw able to put the sky ski in the standard racks of an x45. If anyone hears about racks for the new power tower, please post . Thanks !

Tex,

I am looking at the swivel version of the Airboom rack... Other than the swivel, have you been happy with the Airboom; looks, finish, quality...etc.

Thanks for the details,

Joe
