Looking for a maintenance manual for a 351 Indmar, looks like the clutch assy is shot and need to replace it. Where do I find a place to order what I need? Any help is appreciated.

www.skidim.com is a great place for parts for your boat. They offer manuals and advice too.

Clutch assembly? No such thing on a direct drive. Do you mean something is wrong with the transmission? Post some further details of what seems to be the problem -- symptoms, noises, etc.. Someone here will have the answer.:):) It might be something simple.

BTW, you can order repair manuals from Indmar. They cover their industrial/marine engines and the Borg Warner Velvet Drive transmissions. About $45 as I recall.

We are just getting ready to start tearing into the transmission to try and figure out were all the springs came from, that is why I thought it had some sort of pressure plate or clutch assy. Will contact the dealers posted to try and find the manuals that will help get her back in the water.

There is nothing wrong with the tranny if you had springs in the bellhousing. The springs came from the damper plate which sits in the same position as an automotive clutch. A somewhat common failure item on these boats. The owner of an 89 prostar across the canal just blew his second damper plate.
