View Full Version : Battery Switch/Voltage regulator Question

We just installed a BlueSea Systems 4 position battery switch on the X45. The knob on the original broke. However after shutting the boat down the red light on what the voltage regulator stays on, even with the batts turned off. The only way to get the light off is to disconnect the battery terminals and re-connect them.
Its my understanding that the red led on the voltage regulator only comes on while switching batterys(automaticaly). What did I do wrong installing that switch? My guess is the ground is in the wrong place. I just dont like playing guess work with electrical stuff.

There isn't a ground post on any battery switch that I've seen so I'm at a loss as to how a ground could be altered.

Iam thinkin the small black ground wire on the voltage regulator should hook up to the common on the battery switch maybe?
