View Full Version : ProStar Ballast and Decal

I have my (new to me) 2003 ProStar 209. I was wondering what kind of hook ups I need to for the rear ballast. It has two ports on the right and one on the left. I know what bag I need I am just unsure of the hoses and hookups.
Also I am wondering where I can find another ProStar 209 decal. My right rear decal is missing the R in ProStar.
Thanks for any help.

Can't speak for the ballast issue.
Regarding the decals. Call Rambo Marine in Hazel Green, AL. Ask for Lex in parts.

In 2003 the ballast bag used from the factory had hose barbs built into the construction, so the hose just slid over those barbs. We have a couple of brand new bags for a 209 that have never been used if you want to just put in what would have come from the factory. Send me a message or give us a call to order one, they're not on our site.
If you wanted to upgrade to a more modern bag then you would want to use Fly High's Rear Seat Sac (http://www.wakemakers.com/fly-high-rear-seat-sac.html), and along with that you'll need (3) three W736 Quick Connect Fittings (http://www.wakemakers.com/fly-high-pro-x-series-fitting-w736.html), (3) three W742 Quick Connect Fittings (http://www.wakemakers.com/fly-high-pro-x-series-fitting-w742.html) and (3) three 3/4" stainless steel hose clamps (http://www.wakemakers.com/3-4-inch-hose-clamp.html)

Call Eric at Chicago MasterCraft... He gave me the BEST deal on a set of decals for my old MC 2005 Prostar197TT.... He beat every one by a couple of hundred dollars....

I got in touch with a dealership and they told me I needed the W705 Fly High and the W736 fittings... but didn't say anything about the W742 or hose clamps?.... They just told me the fittings would attach to the ports I already have under the seat? One on the left and two on the right... Also was able to pick up the decal.

Replied to your email, let me know if you have any questions.
Short answer is you shouldn't already have the W742s in the boat, but it's possible you do, in which case you would only need the mating fitting for the bag side of the connection, the W736. Worst case is you need to buy three extra fittings ($12) and three hose clamps to secure them into the ends of the hoses.
We have a good blog post up that explains the Flow-Rite Quick Connect (http://media.wakemakers.com/2010/10/fly-high-quick-connect-fitting-system/) fitting system in better detail.
