View Full Version : Its Springtime

It's springtime here in the south. Pulled the Prostar out today to clean up. I am going to take it out Tuesday for a ride, we are off of work for Mardi Gras. Maybe next week end put the wakeboard tower back on, then it will be time to hit the water. I do have one question that has bothered me for many years. The end of October, I washed the boat well, let it airdry for several days, the covered it, and put it in the garage. How did it get soooooo many leaves in it and sooooo nasty? I anyone knows the answer to this, they might run for president. Please post your spring cleaning pics.

So who drove the tow rig, or did your sit on your knees to see over the steering wheel? Don't you think you are a little young to be partying at the Mardi Gras?

Thats my six year old buddy. He says he is going to learn to foot this year, that should be fun. He figured you wash the boat all summer with no shirt, why not start the season out right. See you guys after the thaw.

Now when was the last time you were out in your boat and saw a poisonous snake or spider? We have those here...along with scorpions but I've never seen them on the lake :D Oh, and we have high 80's on tap for the weekend, enjoy the snow  :D

Hahah, I must agree with you.
I'm here typing right now when I should be at work. We are supposed to get 50cm today.
Wish I was in Cali right now, I'm so envious of some of you already taking the boat's out. Still have some work to do on the boat though...
These pics were taken yesterday at my cottage, this is what 50cm looks like!

There are always spiders around boats, and I spent some time in Indiana and you could hardly walk along the shoreline without encountering a water moccasin. Water moccasin's and gators swim. Would enjoy some warm weather, but I guess I will wait.

Will you leave your boat in Tremblant during summer or do you ski on lake Brome during the week?
I ski every day here (about 160 sets last year!) and a couples of time at the D'Amour lake in Eastman during the summer.
Lots of good skiers on lake brome...Did you look at CC dealer before buying your MC?

Boat will stay in Tremblant during the week. We might trailor it between our lake and maybe Lac Nominigue or Lac-Simon but i'd rather keep it at the cottage. I don't own a truck yet so it will have to stay there.
I haven't skied for years and i'm very excited to be back in the sport.
I used to bring my Sea-Doo to lake Brome a lot but stopped going when we bought a place up north.
I haven't been to CC prior to purchasing the boat, we bought the Prostar from a fellow in Phoenix. I haven't even driven or heard it run yet.

Here's what we have to deal with, river 16' over normal level. That sign is 8' high then 14 steps down to the dock. A guy lives year round in the Nautaline. He rows back and forth to shore when the river is up.

I made a trip up to visit my boat at the lake Sunday. Saw a couple of guys ice fishing in one of the bays. I've got a pile of snow in my driveway from the plow that will probably be around until the 4th of July. Still have a while to go for Spring in North Idaho.

I hate to say this with some of you having mile high snow drifts and will probably be laughed at, but this was the worst winter I have been in since I moved here 5 years ago. No snow but when it dips below 50 I can't handle it and bundle up like an Eskimo :o I don't know how y'all do, right now I'm in shorts, tank top, flip flops and the doors and windows are open :D

It is really funny what a person can get used to. I have no problem dealing with the cold. I have a bigger problem dealing with the heat. When it gets over 90 here (with high humidity of course) I keep thinking............when it's cold I can always put more on. :D

Whats funnier is here in the midwest (tristate area) you will see shorts when it hits 40 degrees after being belowing freezing for weeks on end. We handle the cold just fine, but even we get sick of it here in Chitown.
