Yes!! I found another MC that would be allowed on my lake!! If you all remember we have a 20' or under requirement that their are nazis about. I want an open bow boat. How is the slalom wakes of a 200VRS? Is this boat still capable of running the course for someone other than a pro skier? Will it handle rougher water better than a PS190?

I thought you weren't in the "new" boat market?

And if I recall, not to long ago you played a part in the Nazis boat monitoring activity!

If it was me, I wouldn't be in the market, however the wife says otherwise.
Yes I did, I figure if they set the rules, everybody should have to play by them

Oh, yeah, I bet she is just twisting your arm to buy a new boat! But, if so good for you!

If you find something in my neck of the woods and want me to check it out, let me know :D

What years are you looking at? Here is a 1997:

What year 200VRS are you looking at? The 1998 200VRS is essentially a 1999+ 210, and is longer than 20' (20'9" IIRC). The 1994-1997 200VRS is 19'11".

I have a 1998 200VRS. The wake is larger and harder than my buddies '94 ProStar; you'd have to ski behind one to know if it's good for you or not.

It throws what looks like one hell of a surfing wake at 10 MPH; gotta get a board and try it sometime.

Let me know if you need some more information; I've scanned a lot of the brochures from 1994-1999 (loaned to me for awhile by a very generous member of this board). I can send you some raw scans if you're interested.

Thanks Frank! I have to stay older than 97' to stay under 20'. Rambo Marine had a good looking 95' and looking at a few others. Does the 200VRS have tracking fins?

My initial guess is no, here are a couple more photos and I don't see any fins.....

There is one on our lake.....no tracking fins.

I don't really like the built-in platform either.

JR,

I would definetly want tracking fins if you are going to do any kind of slalom other than an easy free ski!
