What is the stock model number for holley carb on my 87 mc with a 351. What is a good carb to replace it with?

Just replaced mine with a Holley 4160 purchased from Advance Auto, go online and get the discounts that are offered I received a 15 percent discount. Tried a remanufactured carb from National Carburettor but it never worked right (Would flame out when going from Idle Speed to full forward). Natl carb was great and tried to work it out, unfortunately just did not work out.

(Both carbs were marine carbs)

I have a resister looking thing that bolts right where my coil does into the head. Do you know where that plugs to or the part number to get a new one. The one that was on there was busted up.

Yup. Ballast resistor. Skidim has that part. Ask for Vince or Richard. They can explain what it's for and how to wire it up. If need be, and they don't have a wiring diagram that they can hook you up with, I have 3 for the PCM Windsor - one of which with the ballast resistor (I'm assuming yours does not have the computer box yet). Of course, one of those is home made and it was for a Supra Comp - but they should be similar if it's all PCM. Let me know if you need and I'll climb in the attic to find it.

Is your Windsor an HO?
