I've been wanting to replace my snap in carpet for a while now. My boat began it's life in salt water and the carpet was on of the things that suffered because of it. There are a couple of online vendors that have been suggested:

http://www.corinthian-marine-carpet.com/
http://www.snapincarpet.com/

I have gotten quotes for around $450 from both and was getting ready to pull the trigger. I made a trip to my local upholstery shop to give them a chance. Turns out they use Corinthian as their marine carpet supplier. I picked out a color that was a close match and leave my two pieces of carpet so they can prepare a quote. It comes back at $250. I like that number much better than the $450 I was seeing before. Turns out the carpet I chose (R4077 Thunder) is on sale right now at Corinthian for 50% off which explains the large difference. My local shop is going to make a couple of templates and send them to Corinthian. Corinthian is going to cut and bind the carpet and my local shop is going to install the snaps. Bottom line is this:

Pricing direct from Corinthian is $237 (I called after I figured out how my local shop could be so much cheaper) shipped you install the snaps yourself. This is for the 40oz Premium Cut Pile in the Thunder color. Corinthian has a template for a 2008 X2 in their library.

I went through my local shop. Not sure if they're making anything or not, but for $250 they are making templates of my existing carpet and installing the snaps.

Corinthian also lists templates for 2008 197, 2008 X15, 2008 X45, and 2008 X Stars so you can contact them directly for a quote on those.

The color looks dark online, but it was the one I chose without knowing it was on sale at the upholstery shop. Should be here in a week and I'll take some pictures to show how it compares to the color of the old carpet.

Do you have pics? Where on their website is the 2008 xstar? How did it come out

They show a template for the 2008 X Star here:

The carpet turned out great. Doesn't look like the gray carpet I bought is still on sale. My understanding is that Corinthian was the oem carpet supplier for Mastercraft back in 2008.

must've taken the pics off website. " page not found" was what was said when I opened the link. Thanks though!

If you go to this page:

http://www.corinthian-marine-carpet.com/aquamat

look for the link that says:

choose a template from our library

It should take you to a pdf file that has all their templates. Didn't have any pictures of it in Mastercrafts to my knowledge, but it pretty much will look like new snap in carpet that comes from the factory. The backing on the Corinthian is nicer than what was on the stock carpet in my 2006.
