Look for a prostar 190 or 205 in the mid 90's or even 2000. I just bought a 93 prostar 205 for 14500. Goodluck!

1994 or 1995 Prostar 205 would be the open bow with the nicer ski wake. 1996-2000 Prostar 205 has not quite as good a ski wake but handles the rougher water better and has been known to throw a pretty decent wakeboarding wake if you add some ballast. Still though, a very decent ski wake (from what I hear).
94' is the first year of fuel injection, too.
The 190 Prostars are close bow so wouldn't work for you.
FYI, I have a 94' 205 and love it!!

Found my PS 205 in south Atlanta last year from a private sale for your price range. Their out there just broaden your search to include private sales and you will get more for the price. Check the market place here at TT. (Tab at the top of the page)

I know that Davids Sports Center in Oklahoma City had a 1997 x-star. (think PS-205 with terible graphics) They took it off of their website because they were going to be getting new carpet and vinyl, then post it again. They were asking around 15k prior to the redo. I also think it had about 500 or 900hrs, can't quite remember. They've had it for a while, so they may be willing to make a deal.
OKC is real close to Atlanta too, its only about half as far as LA. Ha Ha
