I am way past ready. If the wind would have laid down a little on Saturday I would have gone out on PK.

Tonight looks like the last night in the 30s for us. 70s by the weekend.

I have visited my boat twice this week. Didn't help getting an issue of Waterski Magazine on Saturday with a headline mentioning something about "Spring," knowing realistically May is the month to get the boat out.
Forecast calls for snow in the city tonight and tomorrow. Some mention of record level low temperatures by the weekend. The only solace is POW in the mountains... while epic, it is fleeting...with Mountain temperatures crawling above freezing in the month of March. That leaves water nuts like me, waiting it out... watching the rain, knowing our turn is coming.....
This is going to be a very long 60 days.

I know that Spring is on the way because the frogs starting croaking in the pond last night and one of my squirrel buddies snuck into my shed and already has a litter in her nest. I didn’t finish the eaves on the shed last fall so she made herself at home on top of the fire extinguisher and all of my nails. And NO, I’m not going to shot her because she eats out of my hand on the deck.:D
We still have a few weeks of temps in the 30s at night, but I’m already counting down the days!!
I feel sorry for all you guys up North this winter.

That's colder than the inside of my freezer. Yikes.
In the 70's this weekend in Houston.
Used a cold evening watching home videos and making a movie. 21 deg. F, blowing snow and below zero tonight - come on spring!

I hear you screaming!!
We went out last Sat, the air temp was 78 but the water was 58. So we just motored around and then had lunch on the boat. Did some testing on the new ballast stuff and then headed out for some mexican dinner. Was surely a great start to an early season here.

And here in Wisco, I'm getting excited to see a little open water on my lake. Who knows...maybe six weeks or so and I'll be out on the waters...with a dry suit, of course!

yeah Ryan, for reals. I've been tempted (in my dreams) to cut a channel through the ice with chainsaws... cabin fever is nearly topping-out as I post this.

River is open by my house. Someday I'll have a dry boathouse so I can start skiing about this time of year.
Have a buddy with his boat ready to go. Trying to find a contact with the park dept who will unlock the gates at the landing and let me plow the snow out so we can launch.
49deg today....headed back in the 20s over the weekend
Stay tuned :D

and use common sense.
Wow if that ain't an oxymoron!..... That is assuming you had some:) I'm ready to board....on 6" of new powder. Still a long way from water time in the PNW, but all the new snow will have us on the hill well into April.

mig - that video would give ANYONE lake fever! March 30 was the first of the year in 2010. Sure hope that happens this year.

More than ready, missed all last summer because of shoulder surgery. Little worried about this year. Who has had their shoulder operated on and how much did it effect your skiing? I'm way past competitive skiing but still get to sneak on a course once or twice a year.

Always used to try to have the boat ready by April 1. Been later and later each year now. Seems colder. Maybe too much other stuff? I'll give it a shot. I'm ready!!
