View Full Version : My new little wakeboarder.
My 7 year old tried wakeboarding for the first time yesterday. She got up!! Only took three tries too. This is the only picture that was somewhat in focus. I think everyone in the boat was to excited.
My 10 year old was a little to "nervous" to try. But when the new wakeboarder got in the boat after her "run". She was dancing around her sister singing "Woohoo who's the Master, Woohoo who's the Master". The 10 year old will be trying next time. :D So hopefully in a couple of days I will pictures of her too.

That's terrific! Nothing like a little friendly competition to get things going.

Congrats X2momma! Peer pressure does wonders, my 9 year old is really beginning to warm up to boarding after a slow start. If these kids knew how good they have it !!!! All the best equipment !!!!
I bought my little guy the "Detention" 1 and 2 DVDs for Christmas. Great step by step instructions for tons of tricks (starting at the beginning - getting launched) and cool footage. We watch them once in a while, it helps him get pumped up and consider what to work for.
Have fun!

That is awsome that she got up. Once they get hooked your are going to run into the next problem, getting them back in the the boat, Cause it is mom and dads turn to.
she can teach me how to get up now.
:woohoo:

That's awesome. I agree with Brian, a little competitive spirit, even unspoken, goes a long way. My 4 year old niece was all over the zip sled last summer. Her male cousin (age 6) was a little apprehensive of it at first, but after she tore it up, his male ego couldn't let him not ride it after the little girl showed him how it was done.

Kudo's on the new wakeboarder!
My daughter learned how to ski at age 4, but this summer I taught her how to kneeboard. We haven't tried wakeboarding yet. My 9 year old was afraid of skiing (he's the cautious one), but when he saw the kneeboard he decided to give it a try. We got one with a hook on the front, and life is GOOD!! Check out the pic - nothing better than your kids behind your Mastercraft!

I'm impressed!
And by the way, from your pics, you don't look old enough to have a 10 and 7 year old! Great job on yourself! :D B

Unfortunately I cannot accept that very nice compliment. There are no pictures of me on this site, so I think you have me confused with someone else. Although I am young to have a 10 & 7 year old I also have the bumm to prove it. :o
Update on my 10 year old. She did it! :D :D Scared the crap out of her but she sucked it up and tried. She got up and now we must work on the staying up. They both strapped on the board and went. No pictures though. Hopefully next time.

Post plenty of pix, my 9 yr old daughter got up last year and has only been two skiing this year. She loves the camera and getting her pix on the MC board or seeing other kids on here pumps her up. Mostly pix of MarkP kids so far!
Thats a great picture! :)
Getting up on doubles is next on the list to do this summer. They both can get up on the ski skimmer and go over the wake. :)
