Very nice, met you at the boat show, our X55 is being built right now. We should get our 55's out together. Everyone I talked to loved your boat! We did the slider with black and with the turn bouy orange strip. Congrats on the ride, wicked boat!

That boat is beyond mint. Great colors (I may be biased:D), and that interior is beautiful. Congrats.

I don't know how you did it at the boat show. I would've stood there making sure no one touched the boat for the duration of the show... :D

The dealer put up the ladders and moved the entrance ramps, added a sold sign. Funny part is that I told the dealer that I'd need to sale my x45. The dealer gave my number to others at the show. By the time I was home the next day, I had two calls.

I was at the boat show two days, the 2nd day I witnessed a little boy throwing up in the captains chair.

They did a good job keeping people off the boat.

nice boat.....what power did you go with?

Cmpdman
02-21-2011, 10:56 AM
Indmar LSA - 6.2 Supercharged, 540 HP, 540 foot-pounds of torque. At our current altitude it will feel like around 400 HP. We boat at 4500 feet. (~4.5% loss/1000 ~= -20.5% = 429 HP)

I went with the Ilmor 6.2, in mine .... I Indmar 6L in my 08' X45 and we test drove a 11' x55 with the Ilmor 6.2 seemed to have more balls. I should have delivery tomorrow!

Have you driven a boat with the 8.1 in it? If so, how does it compare to the 6.2?

Cmpdman
02-21-2011, 11:59 AM
My current X45 '08 has the 8.1L. It does really well at our altitude. I use one prop for our altitude and another for lower (Lake Powell). It will be intestering to try the new engine with a couple of different props. Once we get the new boat on the water (April?), I'll post for information on what I think of it.

Post some pics when you get it! I'll probably pick mine up in April. I'm still waiting to see what the bimini & mirrow look like with the power tower setup.

I never have, we are at sea level so you don't see many 8.1's.

Was told Wednesday now, but will do! I was told my bimini more than likely won't be done yet. What did you pay for bimini? We have not received a price yet on it......Also are you the one moving to Houston?

Cmpdman
02-21-2011, 06:20 PM
The bimini was included in the price, and yes I'm the one going to Houston. It will be interesting to see the extra power in that area (probably way overkill).

In the deal, we added extra speakers, bimini, front lights, back lights, etc. I've only seen the lights from an engineers drawing.

In our X45 we had 4 lights on the towers. They were great for evning marina runs Lake Powell.

Yeah we ordered the extra speakers as well, our dealer didn't want give us a price set in stone because the bimini's vary so much in price depending on which one you order. We didn't go with lights because it's a light bar, however we also have lights on our X45 they were great but not a must for us. Just curious, when did you order your boat?

I hit you up on your other thread..... I live on Lake Conroe, Shoot me an email when your out at Factoryeffex224@aol.com. If I am home I'll take you and your family out on the lake.

I do remember you! Post some pics when it comes in! I haven't heard when the biminis come in. We've got a lot of snow still, so I guess that I'll sled some more & wait for warmer weather. I probably won't pick it up until mar/apr. Once I get it to the lake we'll start playing with various props. Plus I have sone customizations I want to do first. ---man I cannot type on this iPad!

I was into the dealership yesterday, they said the biminis are due in about a week. I am excited to see what they have come up with. I am so sick of looking at other people's X55's. I can't wait until mine is here, snow is gone, Powell is 85, beer is cold, and the tunes are cranking. One more ski trip with the boys to Mammoth, then spring should be here. I think we are going to try and hit Mead around mid April, just to test her out and run her through her paces.
