Hi All

I have a 1993 prostar 190 , with the tlit steering column , the boss splins have worn hence there is quite a bit of side to side movement in the steering wheel , I am trying to locate a new boss but with out any sucess .
Tried my local dealer ,does anyone know the make of the orignal boss which Mastercraft used, or any other advice on this .

Thanks for the info .
I have checked with my local Teleflex agent , he does not reconise it , he has also told me that all the teleflex steering systems have a tapered shaft and 1 single keyway slot .

Anyone know where I can get this boss from.

thanks again

I think that part would be considered a steering wheel adapter. Check with Grant Products (http://www.grantproducts.com) and find a replacement installation kit. You will probably need the diameter of the shaft and the number of splines. Good luck.

If you have 19 splines, I suspect the part you are looking for is Grant 3656-1 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Grant-3656-1-Marine-Whl-Install-Splined-OMC-Shaft-19-T-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem5d2d587e1fQQitemZ40019 2732703QQptZOtherQ5fVehicleQ5fParts). Note that the pictures found for the 3656-1 are all of a keyed type column adapter while the description states 19 spline.
