It'll fit if you don't put the door down. :D

As far as I know, there is no way to make the trailer shorter that isn't going to effect th performance of the trailer.

They used to give the boat length w/trailer in the owner manuals, but apparently not anymore. Here's the link to owner manuals: http://www.mastercraft.com/knowledge/owners_manuals

The 2010 PS197 stats:

ProStar 197, X-7 Length of Boat.............198
Width Amidship....................................91
Boat Weight........................................2,80 0-3,070 lbs.
Length of Boat w/Platform..................... 216
Towing Length.....................................22
Towing Width......................................100
Fuel Capacity.......................................28 gallons
Total Weight Capacity ..........................7 people or 1,087 lbs

My 2005 PS 197 owner manual states the length of the boat is 19' 8", overall length on the trailer is 22' 8' and the length w/swing away tongue folded is 21'. I believe on the 2010 PS models the ski platform releases/folds down, so I imagine that adds a few inches to the length...mac

We pick it up in two weeks and want to make sure we don't have to have winter storage until May when it goes to the lake. I guess I will get it and see if it works and if not I guess we will rent storage space.
Thanks

You can buy a couple of inches by going into the drywall. Also, if it is a swivel hitch, you may be able to remove it, gaining another inch or 2. Look at grab rail removal also. Extreme measures, but I have done them to get my boat inside, rather than pay for storage.

Just to let you all know it is 21'2". My garage measures 21'4" so we are all good to go.

I have been going back and forth with the architect and need to solidify my answer ASAP.

UC, what type of trailer (dual or single)? Is this dimension with the platform folded down or completely removed?

I think I am going to tell the architect that 21'-6" is the required interior dimension just to be safe. Think this will be good?

I am so excited at the thought of being able to bring the boat home from the river and have it fit into my own garage!

The MC website says the length of the trailer is 22'-7" overall and 20'-7" with sa (Guessing that is Swing Away) Trailer.

I'd still rather get real world dimensions, rather than take their word for it.

You should tell the architect to make it 30' deep just incase you decide to make "other" purchases in the future. ;)

My lot is only 2000 sq feet. I am lucky to be getting a 21'-6" deep garage, as it is! The fiance wants that extra 1'-6" for our master bedroom (20' deep garage is required by code). I guess this is what you get for living where we do. :o

Yeah, but I bet the views are amazing. Good luck with the build!
