Hey all,
I currently ski on a Connelly F3 Concept with double stoker plates.
I am looking for a ski that is easier to learn on so I can teach my friends how to ski and get them off the tube. We have a set of combo skis, but they are too small.
Can you let me know if you know of any good deals on a beginner ski. I saw the radar in the classifieds, but the front binding is too big.
Thanks.

I have a Connelly Pilot (not for sale). It is a great tool to help beginners learn the basics of getting up and turning. It is designed to ski at 26-28 mph, so it doesn't scare new skiers. It also does great in bad water conditions.
I've tried running the course with it, but no luck on it.

I'm not sure about a ski, but I can teach you how to get them off a tube :D

I used to teach adults on an old 72" ,yes a 72" O'Brien. Made it easier for deep water starts. Never heard of starting off a tube. One of the ski companies used to have a starter ski that had a wide tip to make it easy to get up, don't remember who.

It looks like a good deal, but I need to fit a size 10 foot.

I wear an 11 and it fits perfect. I dont like a binding that is to terribly tight. This bindingis very comfy. I would put money that you won't send it back. I wish you could try it on. you would not leave my house without it.

I've got a big old wide ski like the Pilot (http://www.overtons.com/modperl/product/details.cgi?i=13719&pdesc=Connelly_Pilot_Slalom_Water_Ski_with_Adjusta ble_Binding_Rear_Toe_Strap&aID=600A3&merchID=4006) that MaxPower is using. It works great for teaching - lots of area to pop up quick, a very adjustable binding to fit almost any size foot, a very stable ride, and yet it cuts well if you ask it to. The front binding on mine isn't good enough to be able to challenge the course on it, but for recreational skiing it's great.

Here's a better suggestion, NO SKIS!
Get outta' that frozen tundra of IN , and head South to the :) Sunshine State :)
where they can learn this with much more warmer water temperatures :D

It all good. I went to Skiers Edge here in Indy and they gave me a great deal on a theory with double boots. I love my concept, but I have to say, I am excited to try this one.

Thanks. I hope it will get some friends up who were unable to ski on my ski.

This is an older thread so possibly nobody is looking for ideas any longer, but I finally learned to ski two years ago on show skis. They are nice and wide.
