Anyone used this camera on a pylon mounted Trakker for filming slalom skiers through the course? I understand there is no "zoom" function?

I really love mine! No me its a really good camera to have! Ive been doing photography for about 2 years now and I wanted to get into the video side of it. I had the Kodak PLAYSTORT it was a ok video camera. I had seen GoPro cameras around but I thought maybe they were high in price..... I was wrong! Best money ive ever spent

Pro:
Waterproof
small
Tons of cool mounts
Good battery life
WIDE angle lens
SD card
HD
clear pictures ( in pic mode)

Cons:
No play back screen ( They do offer one as of 1/28/11 $80 upgrade)
Not easy to use with out reading up in the little book
Doesnt have good low light

Your editing software is a big factor as well. The video above was edited in your standered software. These are cameras are are no doubt the best bang for your buck.
Here are some GoPro video edited in FINALCUT off a MAC

Yes your right there is no zoom. To me a zoom on a video camera just isnt what it should be. They gey really blured when zoomed in. Under a $ 700 price range.

Great video. I like the shots looking forward from the watercraft. Got to get my son to see that video for the inspiration. We got him a GO PRO before HD came out. He used it only one winter boarding. The next season the picture was srewed up it looked like the lens is bad. Wonder if anyone out there ever had a repair deal. It must be out of warrenty.

Good video! How do you find the mounts direct from GoPro? Any suggestions on what mounts to get or stay away from?

I would search ebay. My fav is thr\e suction cup mount! its really strong. The more mounts you have the better you are. Im sure you will find a use for them all. The mounts that have the 3m tape on them.... They will not come off easy. So be carful.

We run the surf HD...great footage. When surfing we mount it really low to the waterline to give the wave max effect.
