mine are starting to wear and show their age. i bought a pair a few years back from the hardware department at true value. it's a little out of my way and i was going to see if i could order them online, but for the life of me, i do not know what they're called.

they're a round pin, with a hinged U-frame that folds back over and clips on to the other side when inserted. i thought they were called wire u-clips, or cable u-clips, but i am not sure. anybody know? i was just trying to save myself a trip and figured i could hunt them down online.

That looks like a clevis pin with a bail that locks it in place. Do a search for hinged clevis pin and you will find many variations. Diameter should be 1/4 inch I believe
