Thinking about moving up to an X-15 from my X-9, looking for more interior people space, and a boat thats more capable of rougher water at the lakes at times. Im getting to the point, that i'm tied of always having to watch on-comming wakes, to avoid water over the bow. I've always been a big fan of DD, but guess its time to concider V-Drive

Gen thoughts on the 2011, X-15,
would be very heplful in me concidering, as i'm thinking of pulling the trigger with in
the next week, to take advantage of the Dallas, Boat show incentive.

Thnx

I had a X9 and loved it ... Have a couple of friends with X15s and it's one of my favorite boats ... If I was getting a vdrive that would be it ... Terrific room, fantastic wake, but still fun to drive

Looking forward to the pictures of your passengers!

I love mine. Would buy it all over again. Tons of seating and storage. Great wakes. If you want to ski, get the wake plate.

I had a Maristar 215 and it had "shallow nose" also, you will still need to watch the rollers in no wake zones.

I have an x15 and it is great for skiing and wake boarding. The only thing that I would have liked more is the x25, and the reason I say that is for the seats on the back of the boat for either sun baking or getting ready to board, surf or ski. That would be the only thing I would have liked on mine, and I would upgrade if I could but the price is a little out of my reach.

All in all my family and I love the boat and think it is one of the best things we have done as a family.

I have Maristar 215, same hull as x-15 I believe, and absolutly love it. Although it is not the perfect ski boat in open water it is very good. There is plenty of room for hanging out and has been great for wakeboarding and everything else we pull. The X-15 makes a great family boat.

My buddy has an 06 X15 and his boat is alot deeper than my X2. Even with all the ballast full and an extra 1200lbs fat sac full, he never has to worry about water coming over the bow. He can be pulling a surfer and turn quick to go pick them up, cutting back across the surf wake and not have to worry about a thing! Its a great boat

We LOVE our 2010 x-15 and don't have any regrets. Our friends have the x-45 and xstars but the size and being able to surf and board was so easy and it is very roomy. We love it.

Love our X15. Have said many times we would buy the same boat again. I would look/demo X25 and x14v just to be sure. Both great boats too. I HAVE taken waves over the bow fully loaded surfing, but not very often. Have had 11 in the boat full day (mix of adults and kids) and no problem. Great boat.

Thanks for the input- i took an X-14 out over the summer and still prefered my X9 over it. in more ways than 1

Whys that?

Didn't care for the drivers seat for 1, also at low speed manuvering into a boat slip, handeling was not the best, my guess is because the rear hull of the boat is a Flat bottom.

X25 is a nice ride if you have time (and money) to look. A friend got one this summer. Awesome boat. I think it is significantly more dough.

What's the issue with the driver's seat? Seems like an odd complaint.

Really? When we were test driving MC's there was a noticable difference in comfort between the seats. The ''lounger'' that is standard in the x45 was by far the most comfortable seat for me. The side bolsters on the seats on the x2, x15 and x30 were not good IMO.

Love my X15 for the room, stability in rough waters and ability to do everything.

Would only upgrade to the X25 if I could to add more stability with the V hull, not this year.

With the Drivers seat bolster in the up and folded back postion, upon hitting the 1st wake, while I was sitting on it, it would flip me down. Its as if the bolster either doesn't go back or high enough to prevent this from happening. Not only did it happer once, but 4 different times while out on the lake with it in a 1.5hr time frame, it was enough to P#*s me off.

Might seem minor, however it was enough for me to take the X-14 back to the dealer-
no sale.

I can see that. FWIW, there's a difference between the 2 driver seats in my 08 and my 09. And also a difference from the 05 197 I had. Honestly none of them would bother me or affect which boat I choose or chose, but there is a difference.

I have heard that for larger, heavier, more rotund drivers this is true...........
