View Full Version : Paint stars

I own a S&S and some of my stars are peeling. I was wondering if there is a way to paint them on. I found ways to paint fiberglass on the internet but they only deal with painting a whole boat. I just want to paint the stars on. Is this possible? What should I use and how?

I'm also wondering where I can buy new dash plates for an 85 S&S. My old one has slolom times and speeds. Unfortunately it's very faded.

The old Nautiques from the 80s had painted stripes and graphics I believe. Ask what was used on ccfan.com. IIRC, it was Rustoleum. Have a friend who redid his old SN 2001. Turned out great.

I would'nt paint them on, they will still get scratched and look bad. Find a local sign shop to replicate them , if and when they get damaged remove and put on another. Has to be cheaper than paint.

I agree that this is a better solution.

X100000 plus it has to be so much cheaper to buy decals then try to line up and stencil these things out.
