Anyone have any suggestions on where I can mount an amp & sub in a 1990 Prostar? I just bought the boat and it already has a Sony CD player & 4 speakers in it. Any help would be appreciated.

Since the front is closed off you can kinda use it as a speaker box. You can mount the sub under the driver dash. And Depending on what size sub you use you may also be able to mount the amp above the sub.

I have a 1994 PS 205 and just invested in a down firing sub box that I will place in the storage compartment behind the passenger sheet. Thats another option for you.

I've got a closed bow and have my sub firing to the side on the starboard side of the bow. There is a raised area there that I don't believe is duplicated in the 190, however.

Look at the new kicker sealed marine subs that come in the roto-molded boxes - you can mount them upside down and use them as a footrest - or any other way for that matter - I love mine - very loud, clean lines, good warranty.
