If it is like the one posted in the 2012 X1 thread, it looks like a cheap rip off of the Malibu tower. Congrats to PSBC for trying something new to get the cost down, but wow, looks so wrong.

IIRC the V215 and V200 at the boat show are the only ones that currently have this tower. They seem strong and look pretty good. I would like to see what the bimini looks like and how it all comes together on the water. Kudos to PSBC for thinking outside the box and keeping prices as low as they can. BTW I think MC is offering 3 or more trailers now. The base trailer has metal fenders. Then there is the one with fiberglass fenders, then the low pro trailer....

You guys talking about this setup I saw over at wakeworld?

Yep, I took that picture :)

Does that tower fold?

The Sampson towers I have seen on other boats folded. Not sure if they have a dampner to assist folding as due the CCs and Malibus.
Put a Z5 cargo rack/bimini on that tower and throw away those swivel racks and it is a good looking set up.

I really liked that boat... I watched the Samson rep lower that tower with one hand while standing outside the boat (the tower has a dampening mechanism). Not sure how solid it is or when a bimini will be available (which is a requirement in my book) and it looked like the interface material between tower and boat may not be fully developed yet...

That's one of my biggest issues with this tower. Doesn't look right where it meets the boat.
I heard they did real well selling MB's this past year, so maybe offering lower cost options is the way to go for them. Kind of funny though....I watch those MB's go by all summer on the river, and it is nothing but loud music and tubes in tow. Never once seen a wakeboarder on one.

I think it looks pretty good. I'd rather have that than the motorized one. Anyone shake to see how sturdy it is? How much less than a standard tower? The mount does look a little weak, probably isn't, but looks it.

I shook it, it is sturdy, but no bimini.
I had a Samson Tower on my 97 prostar 205. There were no towers available from Mastercraft for that boat, so I bought the Samson. I was very satisfied with the fit, workmanship and customer support.
