A bathroom scale works good, depending on how high it reads. Also, if you have a free drive-on truck scale near you you can weigh the unit as a whole as well as just tongue weight.
There's some good info here http://auto.howstuffworks.com/auto-parts/towing/towing-capacity/information/tongue-weight.htm
Failing that ... an estimate:
A TriStar weighs c. 2400 lbs, a single axle trailer c. 900 lbs. = 3300 lbs total.
Ideal tongue weight on any trailer is 10 - 15%, so that would be 330 - 495 lbs.

Hey neighbor, I just noticed it was you!
You probably know this but there is a truck scale up in Edgar Industrial Park.
Did you get lots of lake time this summer?

This doesn't necessarily answer your question, but there is some great information in the 2008 MC Trailer Manual (http://www.mastercraft.com/files/manuals/2008%20Trailer%20Manual.pdf) about tongue weight and proper distribution of load.

Take the weight of the boat with fuel and loaded as you'd normally trailer it, add the weight of the trailer. Your hitch weight will be 10-15% of that.
Tristar - 2400 lbs
25 gal fuel - 150 lbs
gear - 250 lbs
trailer - 900 lbs
10-15% of 3700 lbs = 370-555 lbs hitch weight
