Email/Web/IM Monitoring Software Recommendation

It's probably time I started monitoring my kids web activities a little closer. Can anyone recommend a free package. I downloaded a free one called SurveilStar but I can't get the capture engine working. Other suggestions of easy to set up and reasonably effective monitoring/capture software would be helpful.
