ok, so in my utmost anticipation of our 2011 GMC Sierra 2500 4x4 coming in in 3 weeks, I am making my "goodie" list, one thing of which it contains is a new draw bar for the hitch (Ball mount).

So for any of you that tow an X2 or similar with this particular series of truck, how much drop do you have in your draw bar?

I have a 2011 Denali HD, and I use a 4" drop. Have not pulled an MC yet, but all of my other trailers seem to work well with a 4" Drop.

easiest method that I have found, is measure from ground up to bottom of opening in receiver hitch, then get a ball mount that lowers the top of the ball mount (where bottom of ball will contact) to 16-16.5 inches up from the ground...

I use 4" drop with my 2008 GMC 2500 Duramax and it seems to make my 07 X30 trailer perfectly level.

AZ.... any issues with the ***-end of the trailer dragging with the 4" drop? With my F150, I have the front end of the trailer down a little so it keeps the rollers on the keel guard from hitting as much.

How much does the rear end of the truck "settle" with the full weight of the X30 on it? I wouldnt suspect very much.

With my 08 GMC 2500 4x4 a 3-4" drop is perfect- no dragging on the keel guard. I use a 6" drop with my 07 suburban as the hitch mounts higher on the frame on that vehicle. When I use the 6" drop with the truck it does raise the keel guard at the back of the trailer, but the tongue sags a bit too low for my taste.

I use a Rapid Hitch Kit to tow my X25 and my other trailers. And since every trailer is a little different, and use different size balls, being able to adjust the Drop/Rise and having a ball combo is great, and since itís made of billet aluminum it looks pimp.
