Battery for a 1998 MC TriStar

Just moved from NY to Nevada, but the movers refused to take my 1988 MC TriStar boat battery that was in storage in my basemment. Equally stupid, I forgot to copy down the CCAs and other specifics from the battery before setting it next to the trash bin.

Please advise as to the appropriate battery for this boat.

I wasn't aware they made a Tristar in 1998? :confused: The more CCA the better, if the boat is really a 89 Tristar and has the 351W if memory serves me correct 650 CCA or better is recommended.

Fork up a few xtra $ for an Optima Gel. Well worth it.

just get the biggest CCA battery that fits physically in the battery box.


550 CCA's are fine. But - the more the better! :)
