He would stay if he came up here during the summer and saw all the clean clear water lakes. Be another whole can of worms to get him here in January. He would be turning around about half way through Iowa. A man does have to know his limitations.

Four days and counting............

Was hoping to go this year but will be officiating the wedding of my mom. Gonna be a bit strange but heh, how many sons pronounce their mom married? I wish it worked to head up to the cities though.

Too bad you can't make it, but I sure can't fault your reason. Hope the day goes well.

Alright, all the boats are in place, still need to install lights, stereo and do a final cleaning on the everything. In general it looks like a lot more dealers and boats at the show this year including a couple that I've never seen at the show.

I was checking out some of the Legend fishing boats yesterday, their attention to detail is INSANE!!! I'd say they are worth checking out, they are right next to us.

What!? no Pictures?!?

Looking forward to the show... see you tomorrow! I'll be the guy with the Mastercraft T-shirt drinking a beer...

I will be there tomorrow as well.

Just got back from the show. Camera died so no pictures, but Midwest Mastercraft had an impressive display as always. I didn't expect to like the new Power Tower but I sure did. On an X-25 sitting on solid blocks on the floor, I grabbed the tower and moved the boat..........no noticable sway at all. Plenty other brands at the show, but all had a much smaller display with fewer boats and no accessories. Plenty of MBD stuff. Great job Corey and the whole gang!

Boat Show Pics!!!

Couple more just for kicks

01-21-2011, 12:26 PM
Last of the bunch, hope to you you at the show

01-21-2011, 02:26 PM
I can't wait to see that display in person tonight. That looks like a huge, huge job to set up all that stuff in a display like that. See you tonight

I was at the show last night. A very nice, clean display and well laid out. Easy to negotiate the booth. Went into the Pro Shop area and talked slalom skis with one of the guys, and I was very impressed. Really great show presence guys. nice job!
Oh, and thanks for no blaring the loud heavy metal music in the booth. Makes it easier for us older people to make decisions in the booth vs. needing to leave and not come back.

Display looked awesome as always! Dwarfed the competition as usual. I might sneak over for a bit again this afternoon too. Too bad it was -24 this morning at my house... gonna be a while until the water softens up enough to get the boats back in the water!

Nice display by Midwest MC. Also nice to see at least two Direct Drives in the mix!!

01-22-2011, 10:30 AM
Pictures don't do it justice. Get down to show guys and see it for yourself and talk to the guys at midwest MC. Top notch

01-24-2011, 08:11 AM
Corey...Nice to talk Mark, John, and yourself yesterday at the show. You guys had a great setup...I think it was obvious that my kids think dad needs to buy a new boat for them to tube behind. Poor Mark had to endure my son testing out the horn capabilities of the new X25.

It was great to see everyone and to take a break from winter for a couple of days. We are slowly reassembling the store (we take about 90% of it to the show) and should be fully put together by this weekend. Couple of things you guys might find interesting

1. Ski boats are selling like crazy, between the 197 and X-14V we heard nothing but rave reviews. Skis were moving like mad too, Radar sold an unreal amount of skis. Thanks to Radar/Ronix for sending up Erik Ruck, Grant and Marissa.
2. Power tower, heard some smack talking but even the smack talkers had to come check it out, even had a guy who had already ordered an X-25 with standard tower upgrade. Overall I think this thing is legit, a bit less industrial look and it would have little to no nay sayers.
3. ILMOR proved to be a huge hit, guys from Viper Motorcycles (they use Ilmor!), Malibu, Nautique and Supra/Moomba came by to check it out. Everyone left pretty impressed (not kidding) the ILMOR is put together right, can't wait for open water to start putting them through the paces (we had a customer with an ILMOR 5.7 who ran it all last summer) again.
4. Best fit and finish, I have to give it to Legend Boats. They have UNREAL attention to their gel coat lines and hands down the best guys in the industry when it comes to metal flake.

Great review, thanks Corey.

If anyone else goes to the show, could you take some close up photos of the surf tabs on and transom of the X25 please?
