View Full Version : A new look for the 08 X2.. Thoughts?

I decided to update the 08 stickers with the new year model look. Also going to have 3M film applied to help with bouy rub and wake board / surf scratches. I used the mastercraft build a boat to get the design and photo shopped my paint scheme in. All i need to do is get a quote from Midwest MasterCraft (MN) www.waterskis.com.

I like the bullseye better.

I think your hardest part is going to be getting your hands on the 2011 graphics. From what I was told from MC, is that the graphics are not available for purchase yet, but let me know know if you here differently.

Looks good. Do you have any before pictures?

I used the 3M film on my bow eye for the boom clip. That stuff works great.

new graphics look better IMO.

While I think the 11 graphics look great, the 08 graphics that are on your boat look great also. I would see no reason on replacing them unless you have some worn areas, bad scratches, etc.

Thread jack. I have been looking to purchase some 3M film for another project, but have not found a source yet. Where can you purchase it?

I hate the bullseye. Had dealer take it off my 09 before I took delivery. Had it on my 08 and wished all year that I didn't. Then again I'm not crazy about the '11 graphics either but like them better.

Try your local body shop for the 3M tape. I think NAPA also carries it. It is not cheap and you only get one shot. Once it is on it is a lifesaver.

I originally ordered the boat without the graphics, but were on either way. The bouy bumpers have played havoc on the stickers along with a nice dock mishap which needs repairing in that area. I will need to purchase a new set of stickers either way so why not change the look a bit. I sent a request off to my dealer (Midwest Mastercraft) who is storing the boat for winter. The other thought is to go with no sticker at all.

I like the new style, less is more IMO. But what do I know, I have a 95 MC?!!

I would stay with the 08 graphics. Ur boat looks really clean with the bullseye. I have a buddy that put the 08 graphics on his 06 X-15 and it made the boat look a lot better.

Thanks for your inputs so far. Im still undecided. Working on shipping the boat from MN to Parker, AZ so I can enjoy a few extra months of boating weather. I will see if the graphic is available and go from there.

My 07 had the big x, and I didn't really dig it. Put the drip molded MasterCraft on the side but it seemed a little plain. Added some X2 stickers (drip molded) from that custom sticker place and I'm pretty happy with the result.

Can't post a picture because I'm using the iPad, and that's one thing it won't do (allow you to add attachments from your photo folder). Maybe later....

Buoy bumpers? Really?

H20SkeeFreek ,
Buoy bumbers = those big round bumpers that are used on the docks / also used as a buoy to mark anchor lines. Kinda of multi purpose I guess, but I see your point on the difference. Im laughing at my own words.

500+ for graphics and install $ seems a lot for not much change 2cents.
