On our lake the SNW Buoys mark the shallow area (3'-) around the lake. Having a MC, that's the best place for us to ski.

Pullin' my 10 yr. old son on Saturday (7/9), who just learned how to slalom on Thursday (7/7). He went wide outside the wake and ALMOST closelined the buoy with his rope as he skiied around it.

His face at the moment was hillarious/suprise and when he got back in the boat, the first thing he said was "that's buoy #1, only 5 to go"! :D

We started talking and wondered if anyone ever hit one of those things? How much damage? Boat? Body?

Those things will do some damage if you fall on them! When wakeboarding we like to slap them as we go by. It's probably a dumb thing to do, but hey, I still get to do a few dumb things now and then right? :D

Just be careful. We slapped one once and got attacked by the hornets who had taken up residence in there.

 What about the annoying No Ski zone buoys???? They are springing up all over Lake Cumberland. Yet Jet Skiis have free riegn in these areas  I have a good mind to get some stick on letters and place the word "jet" on these bouys :D

Our lake has no ski zones in all the prime ski spots. Of course, it doesn't apply to jet skis. Stupid and typical of this town. If there's something fun to do, I'll bet my bottom dollar that there's a sign next to it saying you can't do it.

A friend hit one at night with his 96 prostar 190 and it took a nice chunk out of the rubrail and the gelcoat on the Starboard side of the bow.
