I just bought a 98 Prostar 205 and had it shipped from NorCal. The back seat doesnt appear to be sitting right. It has two small metal brackets on the underside of the bench seat as well as attached to each side of the gel coat where the seat goes. It doesn't appear to be sitting right. I feel like it is just sinking to the floor. Can someon tell/show me how the back bench seat is supposed to attach. Thanks.

I've got the same boat in a 97'. If yours is the same brackets as mine, it is to fasten the removable webbing which fits between the seat and floor, along the width of the seat to keep lifejackets, etc. in place while underway.
If your seat is pushed all the way into position. (ie pushed back against the interior transom panel) and still feels like it's sinking to the floor, then I'd suggest it's time for a rebuild. Mine does the same.
I've noticed a few threads on TT here re: rebuilding a rear seat for the 205. I haven't gotten around to it yet, but maybe this winter.

It sounds like you need to rebuild the seat. I did mine just last week. It's currently at the upholster.

The back seat actually just got re-upholstered. Supposidly it's fairly common for the bench seat to not fit right after doing so? Anyways, is this something that can be fixed if re-upholstered again? Also, I am completely missing the upper sundeck(the one that covers the gas tank). Any suggestions there? I appreciate your help.
