I bought my first MasterCraft today. '96 Prostar 205 Sammy D. LT-1 with 479 hours on the clock. Were all Sammy Duvall editions LT-1?
I'm already tearing it apart cleaning and waxing the dash panels. There will be plenty of polishing and waxing this winter.http://img138.imageshack.us/img138/5828/sammyduvallmedium.jpg

One of the many reasons I was sold on MasterCraft was the thriving support community online (this site). I appreciate all the help in advance.

Nice boat or should i say Collectors Peice... And, what a nice little cutie in the bow...

looking forward to hearing all the great stories, and by reading this board, minimizing the not-so-good ones...

Man, u and your family are going to have a great time, what a beautiful boat and kid! Congrats! Do you do table rock lake (hence the username)?

Yes, Table Rock Lake it is (just East of the Kimberling City bridge or Coney Island to be exact). We own 1/3 of a house on the water there so we are there every third weekend during the season. Live in Fayetteville though and will spend some days on Beaver Lake now that we have the ski machine.

Nice boat and congrats! Where are the guide poles on the trailer? Also, are those tires original? If they are, you might want to think about replacing them. There are countless stories on here about the Goodyear Marathons blowing during trips (I certainly have one).

Good Luck!

Congrats on the new boat!!!! I have it's twin sitting in my garage.

I am not an expert but I was told that the LT1 was an upgrade and is not found in all Sammy Duvall editions. Someone on here I'm sure will know for sure.

In addition the the tires and guide poles on the trailer you may want to talk to a dealer about the winch and nosecup that guides the nose of the boat. Mine is very different. I will take a picture later and try to post it. It may make no difference but I would hate to see it cause a problem and damage the boat over time.

Thanks again guys. The trailer is a '99 205V model and the guideposts are in the back of the Yukon. Since it is a V-drive trailer, the axle is farther back than it should be for the DD and the tongue weight is pretty heavy. GoodYear Marathons on both sides and the spare.

On the bright side, the trailer has disc brakes that are working well and what must be oil bath bearings (different hubs than I have seen anyway).

Thanks for saving me a trip Table Rocker! I sent them an email last week, I think it was Monday and they said it was sold! Not all is lost, as it pushed me to make a decision on a local boat which I bought this morning. Looks like a terrific boat. Enjoy!

Thanks for saving me a trip Table Rocker! My pleasure! I am glad he told you it was sold. I was afraid someone might offer him more money before I picked it up. He was a very nice guy who just didn't need a tow boat.

congrats, great looking boat. love table rock! we were up there for a long weekend the week after labor day. nobody out there and we had the course to ourself. It was actually pretty quiet Labor Day as well. Our house is directly across the channel from the Little Cow Creek slalom course.

We were at Table Rock. The water was still extremely high and not as clear as Table Rock usually is, but you could still see your toes through five feet of water. I'm thinking we are a little spoiled in this area. The trees my boat is tied to are usually half way down our yard, so having the boat in the back yard was a little strange. Topsoil and bermuda grass under your feet feels odd.

I think Beaver is in similar shape, high and a bit dirty.
