Anyone install a boom on their maristar 230?

Barefoot Int. makes 2 types-a bent boom for the pylon and a boom that mounts to the zero-flex tower.

Since my tower shakes when going over large wakes, I don't know if I want to mount a boom to it for fear of it weakening the tower mounts.

The pylon one sounds more sturdy, but is it too far back putting the barefooter in the spray of the boat?

If anyone has any experience with either one, let me know your thoughts.

Oh, yeah, the tower mount costs $220- more than the pylon mount.

Go to Overton's for the boom. You will need an extention also available for it. Cost - about $500. It has a bend in it, goes off the port side of the boat, and connects to the ski poll behind the wrap around rear seats. It works well with the extention. I have a 2004 23' Maristar.
