My new to me foil came on Friday. I have been polishing up the foil! It shines. I will post pictures when as I go along!

I have been chairing for two years now, I can get some air, but only 18 inches maybe two foot. And I have tried back flipping many times, and I can watch the tip of the board just skim the water on the way around, and prevent me from going all the way around.

So, what I am getting at is, I am curious if anybody has any pointers to get some more air! and how fast you are going? I have tried from 18 to 22, and the only thing that is different that I seem to notice is how fast the board responds to movement.

And also, I am a self taught airchairer, so be easy on me!

I am up for just about any type of watersports that involves a boat and a tow rope. I would be interested in learning to chair. Is it pretty difficult? I have heard that it is.

Here is before and after. I had already started on the wings so that is why they didn't make it on the before pic. Can't wait to ride. Any of you guys have simple instructions on how to adjust shock tower?

What are you wanting to adjust on the shock tower? Looks like an LE so it does have some adjustability in the rebound rate in addition to the shock angle and of course the air pressure. Go check out foilforum.com and you'll find more info than you ever wanted.

It just is a little loose. I really can tell off the wakes that it needs to be "tightened". Landings are sweet but I don't need it to compress so easy.

Gainer attempts so far. Maybe I should try a roll? As you can see I'm not throwing my head back, but rather tucking my chin to my chest like a scared puppy! Gotta man up!

You'll never land them consistently unless you get your head back and spot the landing - gainer or roll doesen't matter. Lead the trick with your head and eyes - where your eyes go, your body will follow.

I'm certainly NO expert, BUT, if thats an invert you're trying, you best do that on the SIDE of the boat, not the rear.

Hey foilers, want your opinion. I have been diagnosed this week with a herniated disc s5-l1. Sciatica down the left side has been my major issue. Had an epidural yesterday for trying to calm down the sacriatic nerve inflammation and today seems much better.

Supposed to be going out with some friends on Saturday and want to spend some time on the wheel chair. Just want to ride, no jumps or silly things that could create big impacts.

would you?

I had my back do the same thing, only mine was the L5/S1. Had sciatica all my adult life. According to my back doctor, (who by the way is a hellova foiler) told me that this type of back problem usually heals on its own. (In about 85% of the cases) So don't let this get you down. If you're feeling OK by then, by all means, go. just don't do anything stupid!

Anyone mount a conptech rack to a power tower for a foil? Looking for ideas.
