So I bought a new dimension tower used off e-bay that was on a 95 prostar 190 and I need to retro-fit it to my 93.

I spoke with Wayne at New Dimension last week and he offered to build me a new set of legs that would fit my 93'.

Called him this week to say I wanted to go ahead with his suggestion, and here's a quick list of the terrible service I got from him:

1. I called him 4 times before he returned my call
2. He finally calls me back this morning and says he won't do the job
3. Doesn't offer any explanation until I ask, and then gives me attitude.

Here's what I'm thinking. He's not doing charity work for me here...I was going to pay fair market price for the custom work. I didn't give him any timeframes, so if he is busy he could have just offered to do it later in the year or something.

I should have just bought a monster tower, have heard their service is great!

So, look to the marketplace. If anyone has the 95' era hull and is looking for a factory tower, I'll be selling one.

Sorry to hear it. I have talked with Wayne many times and he has been great even though I never bought anything from him.

Sometimes in the manufacturing process 1-offs or special builds can cost 10 times what they are worth in the market. In your case it just I guess Wayne does not feel it is in his companies best interest to devote time and resources to meet your unique needs. It happens......

Good luck :)

when I was shopping for a tower for my Maristar 210 I spoke with Wayne several times. Each time the story changed; first about how familiar he was with Mastercraft boats and he built towers for Mastercraft and had the tools to build the tower for my boat. The last time I spoke with him the story had changed completely, and he wanted me to bring the boat by so he could measure it for a tower. Now I'm in California, and bringing the boat by would be difficult.

In the end I bought a tower from Ski World, my dealer in Pleasanton, CA.

Rick, unless he has a mold for the specific boat, he cant make it. He has to have done one first.

I got one and had problems during shipping. The tower was damaged and I have been waiting a couple of months now for them to replace the damaged tower. I dont even think they have filed it with insurance yet. I call or email every couple of weeks, but no progess. So I paid full price (which is expensive) for a damaged product.

On the flip side, it does look awesome.

I understand all that business about molds and stuff. I have nothing against New Dimension Towers or Wayne, only that when I first spoke with him he seemed to indicate that a tower for my Maristar 210 was no problem, as the boat is identical to an X10. Then, as conversations went along his story changed. Maybe my contact with him, Feb or March of 2004, was when he was just getting started.

I didn't mention in my first post, but my major gripe is that building new legs for this tower was HIS idea. I called him asking advice on how to retrofit it to my boat, he said he could build me new mounting feet for a couple hundred bucks. Called him back several times without a returned call to say I wanted to go ahead with it. Once he finally called me back, it was no dice and no explanation!
