Hey Bill, thanks for the 205 thread. as i re-read it this morning i noticed a 209 in your sig. I have many times wondered why those 209s don't seem to command the pricing that other models do and wondered if you could offer a quick comparison. We're in a 95 205 and while I love it, it does not ride well in chop, taps like crazy if i run it above 35mph, and now has 900hrs on it. Just wondering how you think the 209s compare in ride, features and ease of ownership.
I was blown away by my friends 03 naut 216 as we ran 50mph in chop that would have rattled the heck out of my boat. Our 205 has been a great boat - and even Sammy Duvall said "one of the best hull's we've ever made" which was great to hear. But i may be in the 25k to 30k all arounder market over the winter/spring and would compare this to smaller v drives, air 216 and maybe a RLX.
